    About Optical Incremental Encoder

    A key component of optical incremental rotary encoders is a code disk mounted on the encoder shaft. This disk is made of unbreakable plastic or glass that has a concentric pattern of transparent and opaque areas. Infrared light from an LED shines through the code disk, onto an array of photoreceptors. As the shaft turns, a unique combination of photoreceptors are illuminated or blocked from light by the pattern on the disk.

    GIS-90 Series incremental encoder is  is an easy-to-install incremental encoder with the options of NPN/PNP open collector, Push pull, Line Driver outputs and an extended resolution up to 6000ppr;The gearing of the encoder is from NMB, can enable the encoder movement smoothfully and long life.

     

    GIS-90 Series incremental encoder can provide 1 singnal A, 2 singnals A/B, 3 singnals A/B/Z, and 6 singals A/B/Z/A-/B-/Z- for TTL(Line Driver Output), and also some customers aslo require 6singnals for HTL output(Push Pull)
